Walnut - Pauline Moderau, age 81, 37782 1735 North Avenue Spring Valley, Illinois died November 1, 2011 at OSF Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.
Pauline was born on October 3, 1930 in Spring Valley, Illinois. She was united in marriage to William L Moderau Sr. in Spring Valley, Illinois on November of 1959 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2000. She worked at West Clock in Peru, Valley View Veterinary Hospital in Spring Valley, Progress Park Veterinary Hospital in Peru, Ottawa Veterinary in Ottawa. She enjoyed nature and nurturing it.
She is survived by one daughter Paula Lendy of Shorewood, Illinois; two sons-in- law Mike Choiniere of Walnut, Illinois, Dan Lendy of Ottawa, Illinois, six grandchildren Tom, Tarl, and Talaena Lendy , Tammy Tieman, Stella and Ruthie Moderau; seven great grandchildren George and Charles Neujahr, Taylor, Cameron, and Vickie Tieman, Madelyn and Gabriel Lendy, numerous sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews; and her two dogs Moe and Pebbles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Elaine Choiniere, one son William Moderau Jr., one grandson Talon Lendy and one granddaughter Vicki Choiniere.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with the Rev. Gale T. Brandner, pastor of the Walnut United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday 9 to 11 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY. I would see Pauline at work and sometimes we would see her outside of work. She was always so nice and made us laugh. So many people will miss her. She was one of a kind. I wish they made more like her.
