Colleen and Family: You have my deepest condolences and prayers. Even though your mom is in a better place with no more suffering, it does not lessen the pain and loss you are feeling at this difficult time. Perhaps my most vivid and cherished memories of your mom date back to the Labor Days when we would all invade your home from Marycrest. She would put so much effort into a fantastic meal to feed all of us. She always made that awesome melon bowl served in the scooped out watermelon. Your mom would always take the time to use her melon ball tool on all the different melons to make the final product a delicious work of art. It wasn't until I was older that I fully comprehended how much work and time actually went into the making of that dish each year for all of us. She truly must have loved having us there to go to all that trouble! I bet she was tired when we all finally departed and headed back to school. I will also bet she felt appreciated knowing how much we all loved the meal she had prepared just for us and of course your dad and siblings who also got to eat. Wonderful memories of a great lady! I will see you at the visitation this evening. Until that time, please know I am sending you a hug in my thoughts until I can give you one in person. Love, Harp

To the McDonald and Gorman Famlilies, We are saddened to hear of your loss. We remember being at Louise and Kay's home for a wonderful summer picknik under tents "up on the hill." I believe it was after the Ohio parade (which included Dave's truck) and celebration. We remember the wonderful food, conversation anf laughs of the day. Louise was kind and gracious and will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Mary Liz Neis Phannenstill & Richard Phannenstlil
