Richard E. Fuller, age 79, of Geneseo Illinois died Sunday June 27, 2010 at Good Samaritan Society in Geneseo Illinois.

Richard was born on February 16, 1931 in Sterling, Illinois the son of Richard Sr. and Nettie (Dobers) Fuller. He was united in marriage to Peggy Wexell on October 13, 1951 and then married Bendetta Schauf on February 16, 1992. He served in the United States Air Force as a medic during the Korean War. He was employed at John Deere Harvester Works for almost 40 years and was a lifetime farmer in the Erie area for 32 years and in the Cambridge area for 7 years. He was a member of the Geneseo Moose Club and Erie Masonic Lodge #667 AM & FM. Richard dearly loved his children, devoted friend Betty, “black dirt” and John Deere.

He is survived by three daughters Cindra (Kenneth) German of Cambridge, Illinois, Mary Jo Youngblood of Rock Island, Illinois, Robin Smith of Geneseo, Illinois; one son Dr. Brett Fuller of Fairfax, Virginia; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild; and one sister Barbara Fuller-Curry of Urbana, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Geneseo First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Ritter, pastor officiating. Gathering of friends will be held on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Geneseo Community Senior Citizen Center 541 E North St. Geneseo, Illinois.
