Walnut - Patricia M. Siegel, age 54, 22978 1200 East Street Walnut, Illinois died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at her home.

Patti was born on March 31, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of James J. and Joanne (Pagliaro) Bowman. She was united in marriage to Jim Koukas on July 27, 1981 in Will County. She then was united in marriage to Eugene Siegel on June 10, 2004 in Steger, Illinois. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church of Walnut. She was a guardian angel to many and had a heart for the downtrodden; she lived the beatitudes.

She is survived by her husband Eugene Siegel of Walnut; two daughters Susan Christine (Wayne) Allsworth of Plainfield, Illinois; Georgina Koukas of Walnut, Illinois; one son Matthew (Bonnie) Koukas of Grafton, Wisconsin; three grandchildren Justin Koukas, Emma Koukas, Jalynn Skaggs; her mother Joanne Portegys of Willmington, Illinois; one brother James (Kaye)Bowman of South Dakota; two sisters Jeanne (William) Parker Coal City, Illinois, Kathleen (Michael) Marconi of Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, one brother Michael Bowman, her stepfather Nicholas Portegys, and her godmother Francis Brown.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church of Walnut with Father Dan Wilder, Father Zeno Mbishinzimana, Bishop Joseph Siegel, Auxillary Bishop of Joliet, concelebrating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY TO ST. Visitation:
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut
