Marian F. Meyer, age 86, of the Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut died Saturday January 2, 2010 at the Walnut Manor.
Marian was born on June 16, 1923 in Harmon, Illinois, the daughter of Edwin and Bessie (Merchant) Mau. She was united in marriage to Robert Meyer on June 4, 1946 in Walnut, Illinois and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2006. She was a homemaker and loved being a farm wife. She was a member of the Walnut United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Home Extension.
She is survived by one daughter Jan (Richard) Denney of Sussex, Wisconsin; one son Larry (Sandy) Meyer of Harmon, Illinois; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Rita, and two sisters.
Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Walnut United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Nolden, pastor officiating. A Time of Sharing will be held on Sunday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY TO THE WALNUT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AND WALNUT MANOR NURSING HOME.
