Maxine Woodley, age 91 of Walnut, Illinois, died Monday, December 21, 2009, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, Illinois.
She was born on May 16, 1918 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Clay and Nellie (Quinn) Caldwell . She was united in marriage to Wilbur E. Woodley on December 9, 1936 in Tazewell County, Illinois. He preceded her in death June 29, 1985. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Walnut being active in the CWF. Member of the Walnut Chamber of Commerce.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Nancee) Woodley of Princeton, Illinois, Richard Woodley of Sheffield, Illinois ; two daughters, Marilyn (Jim) Peter of Mineral, Illinois, Rebecca (Richard) Bruder of South Bend, Indiana;
15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; one half brother Bill Caldwell of Indianapolis, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Jerry Woodley, and daughter in law Shirley Woodley.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:30 AM at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with Rev. Brian Moore of First Christian of Walnut, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.
