Frances Whitver - 93

Walnut - Frances Whitver, age 93, of 613 N. Church Street Princeton, Illinois formerly of Walnut died Wednesday September 23, 2009 at Perry Memorial Hospital.

Frances was born on April 1, 1916 in Woodlawn, Alabama, the daughter of Luther R. and Rubie W. (Bonner) Runyan. She was united in marriage to John Whitver on October 1, 1940 in Los Angeles, California and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1970. She was a registered nurse and retired in 1981 in Texas.

She is survived by one daughter Pat Kilian of Lebanon, South Dakota; one son Richard Whitver of Fort Worth, Texas; Five grandchildren; Six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son- in- law Mick Kilian.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 12:30 PM in the Walnut Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Nolden of Walnut United Methodist Church, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery. There will be no visitation. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY TO HINES VA HOSPITAL. Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.
